New Year activity

Happy New Year to all.

Finally got a chance to do some imaging. There is a nice prom on the limb and some interesting disk features that are worth a look. Waiting for the 'double-peaked' solar max to arrive...

very interesting prominence.

Have you a 152mm double-peak instrument in the future? That would be great for the high res solar pictures.

David.

Once again, your LS152 did a great job in capturing these very nice images.

Andre.

Hi Harald.
I would definitely like to get the double stack module that Lunt said they were working on. However, there seems to be little activity on this one and it is not high on their priority list (presumably a LS100 double stack module would be done first). It is also not clear to me from comments on the LS80 double stack module if the internal double stacking works as well as you might hope. Having said that I would still get one if it became available. I think it would be particularly useful for detailed limb images.

David.

A such module for the LS152 will cost a fortune no ???

Andre.

Those prominences really show the benefit of the 152 (and great technique). Nice job.

The DS will be smaller than the internal element, so it may not be that expensive.

George

Thanks for the comments. I am hoping an internal double stack will be affordable as an external filter is out of the question. I might be waiting a long time for this module though. I will ask Lunt if they are still considering it.
