CaK + Ha = CaKHa_sum picture from 27.05.2012 new
      #5597362 - 12/31/12 04:01 AM

Hi,
I checked the old data supplies from 2012. On the 27.05 it was carried out with bad Seeing CaK and Halpha observations very in a contemporary way. Both pictures were overlaid as a sum picture with photo shop. One sees very nice that themselves the extensive structures see the same way. The Halpha fibrils often run about the dark CaK areas and avoid bright CaK areas. In the new year these comparative observations should be further developed. As a supplement to these both spectral ranges one could still add the Halpha-observations (offband like this: http://www.unigraph.de/images/Sonne2012/ch20120918_0119-15-06-08.html).

spectacular images, facinating compairison, incredible details. i can see how the CaK shows a bit lower in the chromosphere, and as you noted, the fibrils do seem to avoid the plage areas. very interesting stuff man

Hi all,
Thanks for your answers.

The wonderful New Year's Eve party is over and I wish all solar oberservers a glad and healthy new year with many solar spots.
