Super clear moonless night so why not freeze my mitten off since it's been a while. Never imaged this target so I liking the new things + my mount was solid at 10min subs

snuck in a shot of Orion while I was under the stars. You can see all the LP from my condo complex on my scope. Used Canon 450D and Yashica ML 28mm/F2.8 wide open for 15s

Nice shot jsigone!

I'm new to Ha myself (got an Astronomik Ha filter for Christmas) and I notice you have a similar setup as me. Would you mind sharing a few details about how you process your raws to get your final image?

Cheers!

Craig.

thanks. When using the Ha w/ a DSLR, stack as you normally would. Then when you go to photoshop. Copy n paste the red channel only into a new image. All the other channels is noise + LP that slipped through.

Now as B&W mode you would process curves and levels like you would a normal color image, minus having to line up the color channels. Doug has a good tut on this

Added some color w/ astronomik RBG set. Blended the Ha and Red Channel 50/50 and flattened that image to become the red channel.
Red 5x10min
Green 3x10Min
Blue 5x10min
