1.1.2013, 19:20 UT, 10" f/6 Dobson, V 68x
Swanfilter bring not better contrast.
I saw a round 4´.5 comet !
Not directly I saw three (?) small streamer.
I hope the sketch show them.
K5 was very fast, in the ten minutes
I need for the sketch I saw his moving !

Great sketch. Can't wait to catch this guy tonight. Interesting to hear that you saw motion in 10 minutes, must be flying. My plan was to do a sketch at the beginning of my session and then another at the end to compare motion...but it sounds like I might need to do them a little closer together, maybe an hour or two.

Nice work on both these sketches--good observations capturing the rapidly changing appearance of the comet.
I looked for the comet about 10:30 PM local time on the 12th (0330 on the 13th UT) with my 12x36 binoculars but was unable to see it. Transparency was poor which was a limiting factor, but I don't know if it would have been visible with my binoculars even with good transparency--I've only looked at it with my 35cm scope.
