I am picking up my CGE Pro today. I am going to have a new pier plate made for my observatory. I have a cad drawing for a CGE pier plate. Are there differences in size for the pier plates between the two? Does anyone have an CAD drawings for a CGE Pro plate? Thank so much!

Hi Bill,
Not a whole lot of help here, but I can tell you that they are *not* the same - the CGE Pro pier is significantly larger in diameter than the CGE's. I'm sure someone will chime in here with some actual numbers.

Here is the drawing for the CGE Pro pier. Fedex is going to deliver my Pro mount Monday, but it will not be permanently mounted. Jack http://www.celestron.com/c3/images/files/downloads/1236613527_cgeelectroniccy...

Thanks guys I appreciate it! I'll be going to down to my local machinist friend on Monday. I picked up my new CGE Pro today. It's definitely bigger than my Atlas... lol! Here's me standing beside the mount. I am 6'4". I put on my Meade 8" SCT for a size reference too. My other scopes are in my observatory.

For what it is worth I happen to have the 8" Pier plate adapter kit for the CGE-PRO that is just laying here collecting dust. I am not sure if this piece will be helpful to you but if you could use it, make me an offer.
Here is a link http://www.pierplates.com/image/8_in_cge_pro_kit_a_large.jpg

Thanks Micheal. But, I'll have to have the plate custom made for my pier. I am making it so I can pull my CGE Pro plate off and my Atlas plate is ready to go underneath...
