hello sun heads
it was a clear day with good seeing in southern california, and seeing was good. i made this movie at 70 second intervals from 2240-2343 UT on 4 jan 2013. the lunt 100 was used for imaging. the movie shows several interesting Ha features, including penumbral flow, with running penumbral waves, fibrils, spicules, ARFs, etc. a rich combonation of features. please click on the image in the link to launch the animation

very clear animation, the seeing must be good as you say, there are almost no differences in the frames
i like it, very detailed and smooth, at which equivalent focal did you captured?

thanks so much for the nice comments. i placed a cemax barlow lens 11 cm from the camera chip, so i estimate the focal length to be around 1600-1800mm. i captured 1500 frames every 70 seconds, processed with avistax
