Seeing was variable but for January not too bad especially compared to recent outings which will never be posted! A lot of details were just on the verge of coming through. And for the first time this winter my scope temperature dropped below 0C! Us desert people are'nt used to this, I don't even own a coat!
This is a WinJupos RGB composition with north up at 1.1 times capture size.
Comments or questions welcome. Thanks for looking!

I can relate to the above Glenn..!
But this is a quality image, and judging by the slow-down in good posted images lately another credit to your imaging skills!

Glenn,
Very nice, especially for this time of the year. Your seeing about matches mine from last night.

Nice one Glenn,
Although it was clear up here last night, the seeing wasn't forecast to be good. I got antsy to do something last night and went outside to take a look around 11pm, but saw Sirius twinkling like mad and decided it wasn't worth hauling the scope out .
Snow tonight, but maybe it will be clear tomorrow night .

Looks like a cracker of an image to me Glenn, I'd take 'seeing' like that, (with an occasional 10 thrown in...lol.)
Well done, Tim.

January has been the cruelest month for Jupiter but you rose above that with clear ovals in the SPZ and sharp waves above the NEB. Good going Glenn!

Thanks all!
A little later I captured this image. The seeing was a little better and the green and blue channels were much improved. Anway the GRS is presented almost at the CM.
Thanks for looking!

Hat tip, Glenn. I'm glad you persevered.
Every time I tried to adjust collimation, I'd lose my star. Never got Jupiter on the chip. And, I was only going for f17...Oh well. I tried. Next opportunity might not come til Tuesday evening.
