Quick Pier Tech question for pier-tech owners new
      #5606458 - 01/05/13 12:04 PM

Hi Guys,

Does anyone happen to know the dimensions on the base metal plate that the pier tech mounts onto ? It seems to be exactly the same dimension as the pier tech mount base ?

https://www.optcorp.com/images2/6444-L.JPG

From the manual it looks around 12" square - maybe 11" ?

Cheers
Chris

From what I recall they were the same outside dimension.

I have the Pier-Tech 3 (a recent upgrade). The base dimensions for the PT3 are 12 inches by 14.25 inches. (I have not yet changed my Equipment List on this one yet.)

Thanks Bob - that was exactly what I was looking for - didn't realize it was not square!

Cheers
Chris

Oh and Bob ...

How did you find the PT3 and were you happy with the service from Pier Tech ?

Cheers
Chris

I believe the PT2 is square (my guess - 12 inches by 12 inches). The PT3 carries a heavier load so it takes on the rectangular shape due to its double lifting system.

Regarding the service from Pier-Tech, I know different people have had different results. I think I may have been one of the lucky ones. Vito eventually comes through but you may have to keep pushing and prodding (which you shouldn't have to).

Test out your question by sending a request to Pier-Tech asking for the base plate dimensions and see what you get back (from a response time point of view).

Regarding the Pier-Tech product, I can't say enough nice things about it. I absolutely love mine. I use it during every session.
