My best jupiter yet (NexImage5) new
      #5612979 - 01/09/13 12:13 AM Attachment (94 downloads)

I was surprised with the seeing here in Oklahoma on 01/06. Clear Skies website was calling for a 5/5 seeing. Had not seen this very often here in OK. Scope was Celestron 9.25. NexImage5, no barlow. 70% of 2200 frames

Processing with AS then RS 5.1 and then some tweaks with Paint .NET.

Any suggestions appreciated!

Ricky, excellent image! Details are sharp. I hope you don't mind a tweak to remove some of the brown. I did an auto color in PS and realigned the moon channels slightly. Congradulations on the catching excellent seeing.

Regards,
Steve

That is a fine image! Congratulations! I'm still climbing the learning curve with the NI5, would like to hear any particulars you'd like to share.

That may be the best NI5 image I have ever seen Ricky. Keep blasting away, I'd love to see more work like this

Clear Skies,
Brian

Great image -- you can even see details on the larger moon (Ganymede?).

The moons are Ganymede and Io. I wasn't sure if it was just noise but it did appear that there might be a "little" detail on Ganymede. Thanks!

Amazing, couldn't ask for anything better!

i like the darker jupiter, but the moons look better in the second one.

That's really nice, especially working without a barlow.
