The price is $2000 which includes dew shield, Feathertouch focuser, finder and soft case. I've got a feeling that this one is going to sell soon. David

Probably not. They've overpriced it. The last two sold on Amart for $950 and $1600.

APM is selling the MN-76 for 2,710 Euros currently, whatever that works out to in dollars. The FT focuser is light years better than the Russian crayford "leaning tower of pizza" stock focuser. I have a MN-66 and it's a wonderful scope.

The one selling on Amart for $950 had a Moonlight so not too much off from an FT. I looked closely at the other one and it actually sold for $980 ($1600 was a package price for mount + scope) but it had some chips near the mirror retainer. A search for the past 2 years turns up more than a few and the ones confirmed sold ranged from $950 to $1650. A sampling found a couple with 2-speed focusers on them rather than the poor original Intes ones.
I myself own an MN66 with 1/50 RMS optics, quartz primary, a 2-speed JMI NGF, heavy duty Parallax rings and a fitted, fully baffled dewshield and its performance is phenomenal. Bought at a bargain basement price of $800 due to a previous owner having made a 1" scratch in the corrector (doesn't bother me).
I find APM's prices unbelievable to say the least. $3592 for a "vanilla" Intes scope??? At those prices, the Mak doesn't offer much value over a larger premium Newt. You could custom build a 10" Newt with a curved secondary holder and a Zambuto primary (currently $1400) and have lots of change left over for a Paracorr, premium eyepieces and a dob mount, perhaps even a tracking mount.

Agree, it's overpriced by Astromart standards plus a $100 packing fee, but shipping is currently free.
I personally would be tempted if it were at least $500 cheaper and could pick it up at Oceanside as I would be too concerned, due to personal experience with my very fine MN-66, that the ota would be damaged if it were shipped cross country to me.
Still, I think someone will pay the price as I believe you are getting the equivalent of a 6" APO in the MN-76.

The MN 76 from intes is an old model and the Intes micro MN76 is more better nowadays.

MN-67 show up used rarely. The micro versions even less.
I traded up to this one as it had a moto-focus and a cooling fan, as well as a guide scope and rotating rings.
They added a second mount for the guide scope, so you don't have to rotate it into a better position.
So far, my only complaint is the amount of extension I need to get focus with certain TV eyepieces

The Intes 7" was an MN71, 61.
The Intes MC's are MK65, 66, 67.

I'm tempted, but still too much and the MN-76 will be too long for my DM-6 as the MN-66 is at my eye level near zenith.
