Jupiter animations and more! 1/8/13 new
      #5618134 - 01/11/13 10:28 PM

Seeing wasn't really good, but gotta see what this camera does in all conditions! Here are a couple of animations from the captures that I ended up with. I increased the ROI to capture the three moons, but I didn't do it soon enough to capture them exactly in line .

Here is an animation from all of the good captures. I had to throw some out at the end because the seeing deteriorated really bad. Note, it was very windy with winds at like 15mph and gusts to around 20mph. Click on the image to see the animation!

After capturing Jupiter, I didn't really want to waste some relatively clear skies, so I tried the camera out on deep space stuff. There was no guiding on any of these images, and I had to throw out a lot of subs because of smearing. The C8 at f/10 isn't the greatest choice for imaging, but I do want to try the camera out on my 6" f/5 to see what it does also.

These are all stacks of 30s captures with dark frames subtracted out.
