Currently the scope shows 2.2 4.3 and second line 2.2 I am not sure what the numbers mean? I think this is the version that does level north for alignment? However, you can purchase an Version 4 (or 4+) controller and it will work just fine. My Nexstar 8 GPS is like this. I have both the 2.2 and the 4.X hand controller. Both work just great.
