Anyone have a Pelican 1600 case. I was looking to get a good eyepiece case. Looks like it will hold quite a bit. Any feedback is appreciated. Was looking at this one below.

I have 2 #1600 Pelicans. I use one for my EP etc. and the other was used for my CGEM mount.

Look at this site to compare prices. http://www.pelican-case.com/ I ordered a 1654 I ordered from them. The cases are big, but protect the stuff in them, very well.

I use the Pelican 1550 for an eyepiece case and it is plenty big enough. It's a fairly heavy case when it's loaded with eyepieces. I personally would go with two smaller cases rather than a case bigger than the 1550 if the 1550 isn't big enough.

Interesting info. I have a few 2 inch eyepieces on large q70 38 mm which is 6 inches long. I see what you mean it is a very large case. Maybe smaller is the way to go. Thanks for your advice all.

I also found the 1600 a bit too big and heavy for just eyepieces, but works great as a case for my DM-6 and mount accessories. I did settle for the smaller Nanuk 930 with adjustable padded dividers which has worked out well for my eyepieces.

Thanks for the picture. I don't have anywhere near that many eyepieces. That gives me a good gage of size

Thanks, it's been a lot of years in the making. I started with the help of a family friend who worked with the late, great Charlie Bell.

Very nice setup. That is quite a bit of equipment. I think the 1500 may serve me fine for now. That will still give me room to grow. I don't have more than a few eyepieces and a reticle. Thanks to all for the input and pictures

I have a plano case that is awesome. Bigger than a pelican 1510 for a little less.
I love it. 4 latches, waterproof, deep.

Might be worth checking it out, or looking at one of its little brothers.

I've had the 1600 for about 10 years and it's a fantastic case. It is large, and I'm actually considering transferring my Stowaway and all it's accessories to that case, and getting some smaller Pelican cases to hold different EP sets.
No matter how you use it, any Pelican case will serve you well.
