Today the sun is still active. The sunspot AR1654 is still visible (naked eye with special sunglasses).
For the left sketch I made 2 layers, the first one with black pencil I draw the prop and spots, and then I add the second layer with a red pencil, just for the bright area.
With Paint.net I compile the two layers with the yellow colour.
For the second one (right), it's more classic.

Interesting to see white light and H-alpha side by side! And good to know that the sun was shining in Provence. Greetings from cloudy Belgium

Michel,
Great pair of drawings beautifully done. Consider doing a gif animation with one drawing over top of the other.

Really brilliant, Michel! It's nice indeed being able to compare both views side by side and then having a look at André's impressions of the same day.
C'est merveilleux!

Michel, this is superb! I agree with others that there is an additional level of interest having the two views side by side. I also agree with Andre...very photographic white light representation. FWIW, I like the coloration of this H-Alpha disk the best of the ones I've seen yet. Quite beautiful to the eyes.
Regarding the activity itself, that archipelago of spots near the center of the disk must have been intense to sketch. There is a ton of activity there. Nice work!
