This video was posted on the 11th and shows the importance of being actively involved in light pollution. The take away is what we already know. Population will only continue to increase which means light will only continue to increase. The video shows the metro areas from space with their current population and their 2042 expected population. SLC where I currently live is 1.17 million and is going to 1.95 million or a 66.9% increase. Glad I am going to retire to southern Utah but I will assume that LP will impact there as well. Watch and see what is going to happen to your location, though in 2042 if I am still around I'll be 77. Again, I believe it shows why we should all be involved in our communities.
Edit: Percentages are interesting but there is major population increases in Urban areas. Look at 3:29 into the movie the Phoenix-Glendale-Mesa AZ metro area is 4.33 million currently with a projected population of 8.16 million in 2042. Now that will impact that area I bet.
