Build on the experience - Orion is not an easy object to capture without blowing out the Trap area. Lots of nebulosity around it in Barnard's Loop as well. Stopping the lens to f/4 would help with vignette and sharpen the star probably, but adjust exposure to match. How is the light pollution in your area? About the light pollution, the faintest stars I can see with the naked eye at zenith are a little fainter than magnitude 5. The sky fog limit through my telescope is about 50-60 minutes with my filter, and through my lens it is about 13 minutes (h-alpha filtered).
