Yes I use a Meade weight on a Celestron ASGT works fine.

A weight from an LXD500 or LXD55/75 would be OK. Older models (Starfinder, LXD650/750) won't. Not sure about an LXD300 (never owned one).

LXD 300 is about 5/8ths, so no, won't fit. Vixen SP, GP, GPDx, CG-5 and its various clones, CG-4, CGEM, Orion SVP, Sirius, Atlas, LXD 55/75 are all interchangible.
