      #5626852 - 01/16/13 07:36 PM Attachment (26 downloads)

Hello all

I am new here and finally had an opportunity to practice shooting the sun today . I have not been at this long so any suggestions or criticism is welcome .
This is a single frame shot with a Canon Rebel XS mounted to a Solarmax II 60 DS . Settings were ISO 1600 and 1/8 sec

Excellent shot MG877! You've extracted a lot of infomation with the processing.

DSLR imaging is a challenge - you might want to eventually move on to one of the industrial cameras from Point Grey, Imaging Source, Basler, etc. See:

That sure is a good deal Bob for a PG Chamaleon. You can see more results with a PG Chamaleon here: http://raylalonde.blogspot.ca/

I really like this capture. The sun looks very rowdy!
