Hi, this is my first post as it was my oportunity to shoot Jupiter with ASI120MM and a 305/F5 GSO newtonian. Summer nigths in Brazil bring bad visibility, specially in the zone I´m located, but got happy with this one. William

The moons are Ganymede at the bottom and Io at the right. I probably overprocessed them a bit.

Well the details look right though particularly Osiris on Ganymede and the brighter material along the equatorial area on Io.

Thanks guys! Local hot weather will give some time to play with those recordings a bit more.

William, impressive double transit capture! Add the shadow and GRS, this image sequence is quite rare. Moon details look great. Thanks for posting

Nice image. I would process the image a bit more subtle though. Especially Ganymede and Io look much bigger than they actually are (as if you used a selection that was simply too large). If you are doing separate processing of the moons, you have to be really careful not to overdo things.

Thanks Emil. I probably selected something more on the moons that belonged to Jupiter, the surface got tricky !
BTW: The diferent routes I used: 1st immage: AS!2 no drizzle, Astraimage LR Deconv and Wallets, Winjupos RGB alignement, PS6 (resize, gaussian blur, smart sharper and unsharp mask, levels, curves, gama, high pass) 2nd immage: AS!2 1.5 drizzle, resize,R6 linked wallets with denoise increase for first 2 layers, Astraimage LR Deconv, Winjupos RGB alignement, PS6 (resize, gaussian blur, smart sharper and unsharp mask, levels, curves, gama, high pass)
