If I have my CGEM fully aligned and I go-to view the moon in a 6mm-ish EP will my alignment be off if after I slew around the Moon for a bit I return to as close to the my lunar starting point as possible? Im at work otherwise I'd simply try it......just brainstorming.
Thanks Dan

No. If you use the handset to slew around, the mount knows where you moved it, so it maintains its alignment. You don't even have to return to the moon. If you release the clutches and move it, then the alignment is lost.

"Ya"? Make that "nein." The alignment will be fine as long as he slews with the direction buttons and does not undo the locks. YOu don't even have to return to some starting place; the mount will know where it is unless, again, you undo the locks.
