OMG I think I am going to die!  Andrew had to be behind this! I am not trying until Andrew steps in here and responds! I am using patched firmware so its probably a no go for me but it's about time if this really fixes the issues! So whats the verdict my friend from down under

01/18/13 NEW AUTOSTAR UPDATER SOFTWARE NOW AVAILABLE. VERSION 6.0.0
This version of Autostar Updater adds support for the new Meade LX850 and LX600 telescopes. AutoStar Updater 6.0 also fixes bugs discovered in the previous release.
Bug fixes include:
Fixes issue of retrieving and loading user data and guided tours into the 497EP/AudioStar hand controllers.
Correctly accesses the Ephemerides directory when installing into a non-default location.

Just got a PM from Meade advising of the release and to my original complaint. Bill advised the tours and other data issues are fixed. Thank you Meade. & Thank you Andrew for sending them all the technical data showing them the issues.

They dont appear to have read it 
Still more bugs than a doss house mattress.
Tour coding does appear to be better,
( based on a VERY quick test )
but all the other stuff doesnt appear to have been fixed.
I would say its not worth using yet for 497EP/Audiostars.
More specific info tomorrow with user crashable scenarios  .

What!!! after less than a year 
I can confirm that the menu "Edit User Data" function
( used to edit Name/Addr/Location )
still returns gibberish.
The encoding of imported "User Objects" is still off.
No idea whats happening there yet.
On loading data, the internal linking data for the
last element in each list is still corrupted,
hence if you add/edit any data in a list manually via the Hbx,
you will more than likely get "Flash Memory" errors.
The actual Tour coding "appears" to be OK so far,
but there is something wrong with the sizing calculations used,
so something got done, but something may still be off,
dunno yet.
