I am about to purchase a mount listed online. The owner lists it as an HEQ-5. To me it looks like my manual CG-5. Before I pull the trigger, can anyone let me know for sure if it is an HEQ-5 or just the smaller EQ-5? Thanks.

Cg-5 clone. I have one and it works OK. If you need the cheapest motorized mount you can find, this is it.
I payed $225 plus shipping for mine on E-Bay.

That is a manual CG-5, certainly not a HEQ-5.

That's what it looks like to me, the E-bay GEM. Measure the diameter of the legs, the CG-5 AS series have 2 inch legs..

The CW nut is more typical of the Jinghua/Bosma mount. Same castings as LXD75. The tripod is not original, looks like a CG-5. Best guess is that it is a eBay Jinghua less the drives and on much better tripod. Value is $175-$225, mainly due to the demand for the tripod. Head without the tripod $50-75.
