I have mounted a Orion ED80 which I use my Canon Dslr Camera plus I'm using a Filter wheel and Atik 314l + on my Cpc and I have the Orion 80mm guider scope with Orion guider mounted on top and I have the ADM counterweight kit fitted on the bottom I have balanced this ok with 8.75lbs of weights All tracks ok but Im just worried it's too much weight for for my scope Be interested to see what others might think.

I've been loading about that much on my CPC 800 that's pier and wedge mounted for about 5 years and have never had a tracking problem, no noise or complaints from bearings or gears. They're pretty forgiving scopes so long as you keep them balanced. I've never really figured out how much weight I actually have on it but I'm sure it's a bunch.

I have a similar setup your good to go. Just make sure when you balance it that your counterweight is fairly close to the declination axis around where the tube is mounted to the fork. I find if the weights are too far to either side the scope runs into trouble.

Thank you both for your valid advice, really pleased now, this is a relief. I can get on with my imaging now knowing that my scope will cope provided the balance is set properly Just want some clear skies now,
