Thanks for the link Chris. Pretty severe design constraints I thought. It's more a binocular selection tool.

I didn't download this to my phone, but figured it was probably more like a selection tool than a design tool. Certainly not like the QBASIC program I wrote a decade ago in order to help me design my binos, which calculates any aperture reduction and visually reveals vignetting.

Glen would your program be able to visually compare the 150mm 45 deg vs. 90 deg binos (and confirm if Garrett solved the vignetting issue of previous suppliers).

Or at least to just visually show the complexity of the issue. Is is a prism size/cost contraint that makes it difficult to resolve?

My program wasn't made for the more complex arrangements having more than one prism 'group' (e.g., pentaprism plus following Porro). I would have to re-write the code to incorporate this capability.
