Solar Prominence

Winter is great. Cold cloudy nights give me a chance to go back and process images that I shot in the summer!

Here is one of a nice solar prominence.

This was taken with a Canon T2i (550D) DSLR and Live View captured by EOS Camera Movie Record with a 5-inch refractor working at f/30.

Very cool Jerry.

I didn't know the difference in imaging and use of filters for the chromosphere versus the photosphere.

Thanks

Darren

Thanks everyone for your kind words!

I did make a mistake in the original post though... I said the image was shot with a Canon T2i (550D), when in fact, it was shot with a Canon XS (1000D).

Jerry
