January 21st sun sketch new
      #5635080 - 01/21/13 02:23 PM

Hi.

The weather model was telling clouds in the afternoon. So this morning at 8:30am after my night shift at -18º C, I sketched the sun before going to bed. And this afternoon, the sky is overcast !!!

Andre.

Very nice! Again some big flares on top of the disk! And apart from cold-resistant you're also sleep-resistant... You're one of a kind, André!

Cheers,

Peter

Andre,

My hat is off to you for such a fine sketch.
It is -17 C here and I was outside for 5 minutes looking at a very unsteady sky. It is far too cold for sketching, almost too cold for a brief look at anything through a scope. I admire your fortitude!

Frank

Thank you Peter and Frank, well appreciated.

Frank, I stayed one hour outside. Fifteen minutes prior the sun was high enough to enter my dome, I watched the sun in my small 3" scope analyzing the surface details.

Andre.

Superb André, once again. It´s always a good moment while opening your sun sketch posts.

Thank you Michel. You see me very pleased if my sketches act as your first coffee of the day.
