Always Correct Declination for Polar Aligning
      #5636497 - 01/22/13 09:40 AM

Just FYI, I found this website to create triangles (if you just don't feel like doing the math yourself), for a correct angle if you are using the 884 tripod.

So, I will start with a line that is 800 pixels for Line B on the webpage. Then I enter in my Latitude in Angle A (can be found very accurately in Google Maps), and the site spits out the pixel lengths for the other Lines (A, and C). Now just create the lines in MS Paint, which tells you your pixel location, print it out, glue to cardboard (or wood, like I did for longevity), cut it out, and you'll have a perfectly angled scope every time! Remember to extend the bottom and top lines on your cutout as you need to take into account the 1.5 inch gap between the base and latitude wedge. This is for folks who constantly take their scope apart or for those who just want the right declination the first time, without guessing using the stock declination markings
