Here's my 16" f/4.5. The messy wiring is being taken care of and the shoebox dew shield over the telrad has been upgraded since, I just haven't gotten a more recent picture.

That's why I did it, black shrouds were too boring and generic for me. The orange shroud does have a black liner however. I also think that being a double layer shroud, it probably keeps moisture out even better.

I can see it now, some one at a star party asks you which one is yours, and you reply, the one over there glowing in the sun.
Mines just plain, boring, black. lol

My 4" F-15 Jaegers lens.. Nothing too out of the ordinary. I made the lens cell, end cell, finder (old Edmund lens) and baffles. Lens is superb, really one of my favorites.

I know it's a bit premature to post but I couldn't resist seeing that superb 4"Jaegers so here goes its little brother , my 83mm F/15 Jaegers still in the making. All machined aluminum.

@Bremms, do you use one of the lenses from SShed? Is it coated?

I did. all the machining other than the GSO focuser. The lens cell is just bolted flat to the flange. The end of the tube is square and the lens is perfectly collimated withou adjustment. Working on a Jaegers 6" F10, but haven't started making parts. Did get the aluminum for the front cell.
