Vixen dovetail to standard tripod screw adapter?

I have a small scope with a vixen (V-series in many mfr's terminology) dovetail on it, and I'm looking for some kind of adapter that will let me mount it on my gimbal-head tripod for terrestrial use with a 1/4-20 (standard tripod) attachment. Has anybody seen such a beast?
I'm sure I could make one, or drill and thread the dovetail (it has a solid center section), but if I could buy one for reasonable money, I would do that.

Is this something like you have in mind?
You might need to mount this adapter on a small block of wood that would then fit the tripod screw or you might just use it with one of the two screw holes with a harmless offset.

I bought a generic dovetail already drilled for 1/4-20 socket head cap screws.

Many dovetails are drilled with 1/4-20 holes and if not, holes can be drilled and tapped.
