Hi All,
I'm lucky to live in the path of the Occultation for January 21-22. The Seeing was very bad and clouds were present but it was a lot of fun and a great show seeing Jupiter disappear in the Moon's dark limb.
Here are some photos I took:
HDR of two shots:
Single shot, using clouds as a neutral filter
In progress:
I have more images in this gallery: http://www.luisargerich.com/january2013/h5306cbc4#h5306e3d8
Best, Luis

Thank you! The Moon was very low for the occultation (about 10 degrees) so I have a lot of atmospheric dispersion in my photos. An ADC would have helped but I don't have one.

Sorry I knew I was forgetting something.
I used a Mak-Cass 5'' (1500mm) I added a 4x barlow for the occultation closeups. The camera was a 60Da.
