The shot was done during expedition to the Maydanak observatory, Uzbekistan, 2550m above the sea level, at the middle of several nights, Sep 11, 12, 13, 14, 2012.
QSI-583ws + AF-S NIKKOR 200mm f/2G ED VR II @ f2 + EQ-5 SynScan
LRGB, 7 x (8min + 1min) in each channel, HDR.
Besides the Double Cluster, there are many cataloged (like the dark nebulae Barnard 201 to the right of x-h) and uncatalogued (like series of weak reflective nebulae below and slightly to the right of x-h) objects.
Top part of the frame is occupied by some (weak) extended dark nebula.
Can you see them on the shot?
Double Cluster, x and h Persei by yuriy.toropin, on Flickr
Direct links to 100% resolution, and to the most viewable (IMHO) 50% resolution.
Clear skies,
Yuriy

Yuriy, That's about the deepest Double Cluster shot I have seen. Nice work.
