Awesome shot from the 8", now I wish I did not get rid of my C9.25.

Great image Mike, and it does have 2 shados on the
planets disk so it is a double transit isn't it?

Well done!

It's Io's shadow and Ganymede on the disk of Jupiter. The 'bite' near Ganymede is some ugly artifact. This is not my best work, not up to my standards ... but fun none the less to spend 10-20 setup, imaging and teardown!
Cool down time didn't count!

Mike

Looks great for that size aperture Mike. Do you need to collimate before you image with the C8 or is that one of the time intensive steps that is only needed for Akule?

A creditable result Mike, great to have a portable grab & go setup, allows for those times when you just have the urge to capture some photons without worrying about setting up your main scope.

Trevor
