Below is my third attempt and best Jupiter so far! Seeing was fair. I was able to image the great red spot, Io's shadow in transit across Jupiter with Io in the foreground and Callisto shining faintly above. And to Alan, I know color is more art than science, but I've put Salient's image into Corel 4 to fiddle it a little (which here at night-time the background space and planet limb of yours seemed toward purple, and Salient's toward green, but very nice image!) I downloaded a Cassini satellite image and keep it around for my color guide. Of course, this is NASA's interpretation of the color.
