Peter, Did you try removing the eyecups on your ES 24s? Or are they the new version without a roll-up eyecup? If they're the older version, the eyecup can be removed, making the eyepieces a lot smaller in diameter.

Thanks guys!
@Don: I've got the newer version of the ES's. Er... dare I say it? I even er... sanded the barrels with my electric drill to gain an extra 2mm! This link's in Italian but the pictures say more than a thousand words...

Interesting. And crazy. The vibration from the drill could have shattered an internal lens, and the thickness of the aluminum may now have compromised the barrel strength of the eyepiece. I'm guessing the metal barrel was thick enough to do this, but I would hope you learned how thick the metal was before doing this. Otherwise...... Che stai facendo?

Don't worry. I first removed the rubber grip and polished until I reached the same "depth" as the cavity in which the ring was placed. Now I can look in both of them at the same time, but many people still can't. So if uncertain better take a couple of 22mm Naglers or try before you buy.
