Today, a bushy filament of magnetism is snaking more than 150,000 km from end to end, over the sun's northeastern limb. I like the method used by dedo/Andréa to enhance the sun disk, here in H alpha. Best seen in B&W. Under the double sketch I try to represent the active region. This was a very rapid and brillant evolution. Michel

Excellent full disk Ha sketch. That big fat filament is impressive. I like your prominence sequence, too. I believe that type of prom is called a surge--they are usually quite bright.
