I'd opt for the classic 90mm Questar next would be a Tak refractor.

Any one of a number of telescopes produced by Officina Stellare. Just as with many other Italian products, form is as important as function.

Many pretty 'scopes mentioned so far, and everyone of them costing $1,000+++++ (except the smaller Unis)
I'll suggest the David H. Levy Comet Hunter.

The prettiest, most beautiful scope is one sitting out at sunset where the skies are dark and clear. Those are the things memories are made of...

I'd have to agree with many that the Questar 3.5 is a thing of beauty. I have one proudly on display in my living room, and yes it is also my grab and go scope.

I've seen these scopes in person at NEAF and they are truly works of art.

The AT66 refractors available in many colors are also attractive scopes. Almost small enough to hang from a Christmas tree as ornaments. The red, green and blue with a purple hue would look especially nice as ornaments.

Indeed. Amazing stuff, creative works of art rather than quality machining and paint work.

Do those stars on the Questar glow in the dark? Now, that would be purdy ... completely useless and bad for dark adaptation ... but purdy!

I agree with the red AT66. I bought one just because it is red. It has never been outside. It is beautiful. My white AT66 that I also love, gave me my first ever view of Jupiter.
Best, Linda B.
