HI:
I have an imaging source DBK with the sony 618 sensor. I have been into planetary imaging for while. I have just ordered a focal reducer and want to try some deep sky imaging/video astronomy with this on a celestron cpc 9.25 inch using longer exposures. Has anyone used the imaging source cameras for video astronomy? I have seen some deep sky pictures so it might work. Any input would be great!
I know very little about this area.

Sure, I think that it works great! I've used my color DBK21 and monochrome DMK21. It's not as good as my DSI III/Pro III, but not bad at all.

Here is another for anyone wanting to try this with an Imaging source camera. M82 at about 12 seconds.

it's not a cooled camera.. it will work but there will be a lot of noise... You can always DIY peltier cooler on the outside. You can get the parts from ebay for pretty cheap.. I did this with my PT Grey GH express as a test and it worked pretty well.. just watch out for dew buildup.
