CCDWare has just released an update (and free) utility called Weather Ninja. It is a "one-stop astronomical weather center".
Here is a description:
Weather Ninja consolidates Sun/Moon info from Weather Underground, Infrared (IR) & Visible satellite cloud animations from Unisys, Jetstream & Lightning graphics from Intellicast, a Clear Sky Chart display by Atilla Danko and a National Weather Service forecast.
It updates the weather information every 15 minutes. It is fully customizable. Looks like it will be helpful for those of us who 'push the weather".
Unfortunately, it only works for the North American Hemisphere, but may be of interest to those of us who live there.
Here is the link to the free download:

For the clear sky chart: find the chart closest to you.
Example: my chart's web address is http://cleardarksky.com/c/PaulMeyObTXkey.html
So my clear sky chart is PaulMeyObTX that gets put into the WxNinja

Use the CUSTOMIZE popup. Put in your location, region and use the CSC location abbreviation.
For example, csa/montana's CSC abbreviation is DrPrkObMT
I am using the SW region and my CSC abbreviation is SFSUObCA
The Massachusetts (?) abbreviation you're displaying is BrknTthObMA
If you need another chart closer to you:

That's kind of what I thought but when I put mine in, the area for the Clear Sky Chart went blank??
Well I figured it out. You have to make sure the capital letters are in the correct place!
Thanks.

Jim, tnx for the link. I'm going to check it out. My Q is, from what I'm reading I'm only going to be able to use this for 60days as a trial version.
Well after looking at the price..... I'm out. To rich for my blood.

Hmm, I haven't downloaded it yet; but if this is the case, I won't be using it.

I like it. Hope they continue to update it, though. A little sluggish, and prone to 'NOT RESPONDING."
Didn't notice anything about it being a trial version, and the statement "Compliments of Steve Walters, the author of CCDNavigator, and CCDWare" indicates to me it is indeed free.

As far as I could tell, this Weather Ninja is free. I could not find anything on the website about it being a trial, nor after installing it is there anyway to "purchase" or "buy" it. So I'm sure (almost) that it is free.

For CCD Navigator, yeah. That's not the WX program, though.

Am I missing something?
Besides being exclusively for USA and Canada, it also seems to be exclusively for Microsoft Windows users!
Macintosh users need not apply!
Someone who creates an iOS app that did the same thing would have a winner on their hands!

Not many like to play with us Linux users either You know what it is, we're being singled out just cause we use better software
