I wonder what other mounts this could work for! One less cable would be great. I currently do not use a laptop/PC to control my mount just the HC. I do a mix of visual and photographic and naturally when shooting the collection of cables is a times troublesome. It seems quite common with other adaptors that you need a null modem connection, which may explain why it was necessary to swap the Tx/Rx lines. Anyway, I'm off to eBay to buy one of these units for my LX200. Ian.
