Hi all:
I obtained a better image of comet ISON's tail last night with a 17" Corrected Dall-Kirkham Astrograph, and an SBIG STL-11000M (plus a Baader luminance filter). This was a 10 minute exposure taken on 2013-02-05 at 02h 24m UT.
Enjoy!
Gary

That pretty definitive! Nice pic
To all comet obervers here - Can I suggest keeping all the ISON stuff together in one thread. It makes it a lot easier to read the evolvement of the comet from peoples observations and images. Otherwise it just gets lost all over the place and breaks the time line into hard to resequence pieces
See recent LINEAR K5 thread and the grand Holmes thread of 2007! on this forum as examples of coherant threads documenting entire apparitions.

When an official thread gets started, I'll post my recent observations to it. And thanks for the compliments!

I'm not sure there's one person in charge of determining the thread- Tonk, why don't you set one up? Good idea.
