Baader C filter

Hi all,
I was reading on Facebook that an ASI120 user had screwed a Baader C filter into the camera body as a way (successfully it appears) to keep dust off the sensor. I am not sure which Baader C filter he used. Baader sells a 1.25" and 2" model. Seems like the 1.25" would be too small and the 2" would be too big. I think the camera body thread is 42 or 43mm. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks! Paul

The FB post shows the 1.25 inch version https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/404799_2851083492532_1...

Here is a "clearer" image http://oc.agenaastro.com/media/catalog/product/cache/9/image/9df78eab33525d08...
But why cannot one use the supplied uv/ir cut filter instead?

I just found out why the supplied filter is useless...it's an IR blocked filter which makes the 685nm IR filter useless. From the link it looks like the Baader filter is also IR blocked. Always something!

Can you just not install a clear filter that works with all the other filters ?

That's what was so confusing. The container in the link you posted earlier says IR-blocked, but the vendor assures me that it is not blocked so I'm going with that. I'll report back later on my observations.
Thanks for the help. Paul

Here's the transmission curve for the Baader clear filter: http://www.baader-planetarium.de/sektion/s43b/bilder_43b/c-filter_gross.gif
Looks like it will still allow use of a UV-Venus filter in addition to near-IR longpass filters.

Freddy,
That's what I hope the Baader clear filter will do for me...more later when it arrives.

John,
Thanks! That is more re-assuring. I just got the filter today and put it on the ASI camera. Of course it is cloudy and rainy tonight so I won't be able to test it until tomorrow night.
Thanks again. Paul

Some are suggesting to simply remove the black foam surrounding the chip.. it does no harm.

Thanks. I was wondering about that because after yesterday's adventures, it seems like that is where a lot, if not most of the motes are coming from.
