.965 eps new

Im trying to find out if anyone still sells .965 orthos.

Im looking for a 25mmush and a 12mmish

So does any one know if theyre still out there for sale?
Or are they a thing of the past?

The Sieberts are not Orthos, but maybe some kind of Kellner.
3 elements with a 60 degree FOV? If life were that easy we'd all be using them.

The Antares are Plossls.

I don't know of anyone still making them. Kokusai Kohki no longer have any in stock and it doesn't appear they will make any more. Looks like used eyepieces are all that are left. That being said, the Antares Plossls are not bad at all in long focal ratio scopes. I have a Siebert .965 barlow that is excellent, but I haven't tried any of his .965 eyepieces.

It does seem to be getting to the point that the only decent .965 eyepieces are used......

Yeah, I saw that. I have no doubt that it is a good price, but it is a little rich for me. I have a 18mm Vixen Ortho that is close enough.

Try S&S Optica in Denver, they had some used .965 eyepieces there. I know a couple were Kellners, others are probably orthos.....

I've got several of the Siebert .965 eyepieces - most are the Performance Series and one Ultra. Right now I only use them in an old Celestron C90 F11. I am very happy with them in this and other long scopes I've tried them in.

You can also order .965 monocentrics from Siebert, but I recommend you first try a Performance Series eyepiece for 1/3 the price.

It's not listed any more, but I have a 24mm Performance Series Eyepiece. If you ask, he may make one for you.
