Larry,
I would guess that at least Serial numbers 200, 225 & 250 were sold as requested numbers. That means about 45 are left to be made.

This is a question that should be directed to Questar. We can only speculate. I think the last answer I saw from a query to Jim R. was less than 2 dozen.

There was one for sale last month on AM. The seller mentioned that if you ordered a new one today they couldn't guarantee the 1/10 min pv. Can anyone confirm this?

Questar has always been able to deliver this level of quality to it's customers if they so desired. In the 50th it is guaranteed and included in the price. In regular production there are quite a few this good to, though not guaranteed. For that reassurance you pay a little extra.
When I startested my Q7 it was better than 1/10th wave. The Zygo interferometer confirmed that later. I have startested older Q 3 1/2's that were of this level of quality too. They were regular production optics. Have not seen or tested recent Q 3 1/2's, so I cannot comment on those.

Thanks for the update. In that case one might choose to buy used and startest before finalizing the deal.
