Disappointing Clouds
      #5669993 - 02/09/13 12:16 AM

So, all day The Weather Channel has forecast PARTLY cloudy skies tonight and ClearDarkSkies was indicating the same. So what is it like? CLOUDY, solid cloud cover for 100's of miles in every direction.

I am disappointed!

The term "partly cloudy" seems to mean different things to weathermen in different parts of the country. When I'm in south Florida and the weatherman says "partly cloudy", it usually means a bank of clouds will quickly pass through the area and maybe block the sun for a few minutes. When I'm in western New York, "partly cloudy" means we might get a peak at the sun for 5 minutes or so sometime during the day, through the solid clouds overhead!
