A blizzard just passed through my condo area is under a sea of snow. I've hot a five foot drift behind my condo and what looks like half that every where else . Except for one spot . The exact spot I set up my telescope off the back porch is blown clean of snow do thoroughly the grass is showing!!!!! It's a small 5-6' circle and its blown clean. It's not near where I observe its the exact spot!!!! Folks I couldn't plan it any better - other than that now I've got the 5' drift next to it. Hope everyone made out ok. The drift in the foreground is higher than the barbecue. The grass area is the exact area. They say our region got 30" of snow. The blast of wind also did a nice job clearing rooftops and carhops. Below that everyone's on their own. Some friends in the area face booked whole submerged cars in snow drifts. There's gotta be a climatic satisfaction index for different locales that average all those things out. There was a time I truly wanted to live in Florida but I'm a northeast guy. The seeing is lousy but the climate except for December to mid march is actually pretty good.
