I thought I would share a couple of sites I have begun to rely upon: if you want to know where that pesky jet stream is, will do it for you. It will also showy your local winds to some degree. 
The second is from our friends at the US Naval Observatory,  It will will tell you the rise-set-transit times for the planets, moon, and many of the major DSOs.

Awesome thanks. I don't know what it showed for yesterday over the northeast US but I'm pretty sure it was right over me
