I was able to use this combo with great success today. Just did a rough polar alignment with iphone compass and guestimated 6 degrees deviation. Tracked the sun perfectly, much better than my former NexStar mount that I used for solar imaging. Never used an EQ mount for solar before, but really did the trick nicely. I even bumped the tripod leg pretty hard, just wiggled the mount until the sun was in the finder and continued to use it for another 2 hours of worry free tracking. I am very impressed with this little mount!
