      #5673779 - 02/11/13 10:26 AM

feb 11,venus at ra 20.55 -18/19 at mag -3.9 an closing in on sun only 11.3 west an cannot be seen in finder no longer. Steadily moving away from earth,an still 5 degrees lower than sun so ill watch it as long as i can.Still a nice pretty site in my c-8 using 300x power an filters 47 violet n 21 orange, but no serious observations can be made until mid may when it emerges from behind the sun an starts its move towards the earth.maybe i can catch any phase changes as it moves below the sun in superior conjunction, but for now its mercury with all my attention.
