HD Video of Diffuse Nebulae thru Image Intensifier
      #5675188 - 02/12/13 02:54 AM

Below are links to some short HD videos I took of several Winter diffuse nebulae using a Gen 3 thin film image intensfier. The lens on the intensifier was a 50mm f1.3 giving 2X magnification. A 12nm H-alpha filter was attached to the lens. Location was Mount Pinos, California.

When watching, the video looks best when played back at 1080P quality.

Heart & Soul Nebulae (in Cassiopeia) HD Video

My camera was working pretty hard given the low light that it had to deal with. You hear me babbling in the audio. I was shivering in the sub-freezing temps.

Barnard's loop looks great! Horsehead just visible... Cool! And thanks for posting this!
