I'd consider a CG4. I just recently de-forked my ETX-125 and ran it both on a CG4 and a CGEM dual saddle. CG4 is rated for 20 lbs I believe, so the 125 with Scopestuff rings and vixen saddle was well under that weight. It worked fine.

Quote: Can someone recommend a reasonably priced german equatorial mount for a 125? I do not need go to capability, and am thinking the option to "find stuff on my own" might be nice. Thanks
The Orion SVP (similar to the cg5) works very well for mine (ETX-125 Wegat all metal ota, rings, 11x80 finder) . Slightly overmounted, which is a good thing.

I am considering the purchase of a ETX125ec. Does anyone know what the cost would be to replace the motors and gears? Or is it just cheaper to take it off the fork?
